Architectural photography frequently gives me the opportunity to visit new places and photograph interesting buildings. This time I hat the pleasure of visiting Noblesville, Indiana to photograph a new neighborhood hospital for Embree Construction Group.
Here are some of my favorite photos from this project.
The majority of the exterior photos were shot with the camera in an elevated position – sometimes up to 10 feet off the ground.
Because the hospital was not yet open, the “EMERGENCY” sign had to be covered to prevent people from visiting this location for help with a medical emergency. The sign was added in post production via a 3D render.
The primary challenge in photographing the interior was getting photos without people in them. Because the hospital was just a few days from opening people were everywhere performing final touch ups, stocking supplies, and participating in training. Many of these photos are multiple exposures that were used to erase people who were present during the shoot.
