I’m excited to announce a the launch of a new photography service – 360-degree fully immersive panoramic images. These photos are ideal whenever you want to place the viewer within an environment. Below is a sample image to demonstrate the concept. Click and drag to look around.

This concept is nothing new. I was shooting photo spheres like these almost 20 years ago with a technology called IPIX. I’ve been watching this technology evolve over the past few years and also keeping an eye on market demand for it. Newer web browsers can now display these images very quickly without the need for the installation of special software. Additionally, the hotel industry has begun to take the lead by including more 360-degree photos on their websites. Finally, the method for creating this type of photography has evolved with the benefit of a huge leap in quality and accuracy.

Users are now becoming familiar with interactive imagery thanks in part to Google’s Street View. Google has also been promoting a form of Street View that allows users to view spaces inside businesses. All indications are showing that 360-degree photography is ready for widespread use.

I’ll be updating my website with more sample photos in the coming weeks. If you’re interested in how you can benefit from this type of photography contact me to learn more.
